Dr. Nicole Tenn-Lyn is a Canadian- and American board-certified academic emergency physician and clinician-educator. After completing her medical training at McMaster University in 2000 and the Royal College residency program in emergency medicine at the University of Toronto in 2005, she completed the Clinician-Educator Training Program in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, a Masters Degree in Health Professions Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and a double fellowship in clinical emergency medicine and medical education in 2007. She is the two-time recipient of Fellowships for Studies in Medical Education from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Tenn-Lyn is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Physicians, and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. With 15 years of clinical experience in the practice of emergency medicine, she is a staff emergency physician at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital and Trillium Health Partners. Dr. Tenn-Lyn is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, and an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Between 2008 and 2014, she was an Adjunct Professor in the School of Health Policy and Management at York University. She has given numerous invited lectures and keynote addresses throughout North America on topics in emergency medicine, anesthesia and health policy.
